Royal Hojari Frankincense Resin
Gathered in Oman from old frankincense trees, this resin is considered to be one of the finest of all frankincense resins. The translucent resin tears are large and burn slowly, allowing you to fully enjoy their transcendent, uplifting sweetness.
Frankincense Papyrifera Essential Oil
Distinctly fruity and citrus with a predominance of soft orange notes, this oil is distilled for Floracopeia from the gum resins of trees wild-harvested in the arid, mountainous regions of Ethiopia. Commonly used as a spiritual tool in ritual, prayer or meditation, frankincense can properly be said to belong to the "sacred scents".
Stoneware Incense Burner Bowl
Enhance the transformative effects of your frankincense resin by burning it in this beautiful stoneware incense burner handcrafted in a traditional three-legged design. Made by skilled potters, this bowl is perfect for use with charcoal, white ash, and aromatic resins and woods. Approx. 4" wide x 2" tall.
Incense Charcoal
Carry your consciousness to high elevations with this traditional, high-quality Miyako Sumi Japanese charcoal. Easy to light, it burns evenly and is very long-lasting, helping you extend the life of your frankincense resin. Odorless and containing no chemicals, this charcoal is perfect for use with stoneware incense burners and with white ash. 48 pieces (½ package).
White Ash
This 1.7 oz bag of high-quality Miyako Hai white ash will help you fully experience the traditional, ritual burning of resins and woods. This white ash conducts heat while still allowing air to flow to keep the charcoal burning hot. Use to extend the life of your charcoal and to prevent the clumping and waste of your resins.
How to Use the Incense Burner
- Step 1
Fill our ceramic bowl or a small heat resistant bowl with our white Japanese ash, sand or natural rock/pebbles. - Step 2
Place burner on a heat resistant surface. - Step 3
Hold one end of one of our traditional Japanese charcoals and light the other end. Traditionally charcoal takes longer to light as it is free of toxic, unhealthy lighter fluid. It is helpful to GENTLY blow on the lighted end of charcoal to help the heat penetrate. Be sure to hold it over the bowl when blowing to catch any ash that may fall. - Step 4
Simply place the lighted charcoal on top of the ash inside your bowl burner. - Step 5
Place a small piece of resin on top of the lighted charcoal and enjoy!
