Floracopeia is a small and rapidly growing company.  We provide highest quality essential oils and aromatic treasures created by a network of distillers and producers who follow the principles of ecological agriculture and agro-forestry, and educational programs to a wide range of audiences nationally and internationally. These efforts have allowed us to initiate and support exemplary ecologically and economically sustainable projects around the world.

The globalization of the world economy and a range of environmental challenges confront the production of high quality essential oils by small producers and the prices at which we can offer these products.  The good news is that demand is increasing for artisan quality oils such as ours.  However, we also face shrinking habitats for the wild harvesting of raw materials, increasing environmental challenges with regard to the production of aromatic crops, and increasing production, labor and transportation costs.  In these unsettled circumstances, the essential oils industry is being affected by extreme price volatility and sometimes even the availability of top-grade oils.

Our industry also faces increasing regulation with regard to  production, transport and importation. In principle, we applaud this effort to protect consumers against untrustworthy suppliers.  Unfortunately, increased regulation inevitably raises costs and prices and often has the adverse effect of bringing lower quality oils on the market.

All of these challenges have led to occasional shortages of inventory to serve our expanding client base, and serious pressures on prices. We are making every effort to widen our network of distillers and producers and help fund the start-up of new producers committed to ecological and economic sustainability. We remain wholly committed to supporting ethical artisan suppliers, and will continue to offer you only the highest quality and purest botanical treasures.
