Blog By Jai Dev Singh, Floracopeia CEO

I first had the pleasure of meeting David Crow through the brilliant literary work he composed, In Search of the Medicine Buddha. Even though David is now a close friend as well as a business partner, I still maintain that his beautiful book is on my top ten list. The poetic beauty and spiritual depth, interwoven with valuable medical teachings makes it a rare gem of its own kind.
Over the years I have passed on the book to many people, most of whom have later thanked me dearly for doing so. Recently I gave a copy to a friend Joseph Guida, who is the president and founder of Sierra Friends of Tibet. He like so many others enjoyed it as well and recently interviewed David on a weekly program he hosts on Open Mind Radio.

Open Mind Radio is an internet broadcast company dedicated to bringing diverse radio shows that would not normally be aired on mainstream networks.

We have posted the audio recording of the interview below for your enjoyment.

The interview covers many of the books topics such as his trips to India and Nepal, studying with masters of Tibetan and Ayurvedic Medicine, the urgency of preserving the worlds medicinal plants and their usages, and how all of it somehow led to the birth of Floracopeia.

I found this recording well worth the listen. Enjoy! Let us know what you think by leaving a reply below.

I am so excited to have a new teacher! This is a great, informative interview. It is nice to see a person utilizing Chinese, Nepalise, and Ayurvedic therapies and theory to create a deeper understanding of healing.

  3. Hello David,
thanks from Eire! I have been recommending your website for many years to each of my several German, Swiss and Austrian students, if they were able to read at least a bit of English. It was and now is even more very inviting and inspiring! Thank you from an European colleague! Eliane

  5. As I recently discovered while attending a lecture of David’s in Asheville, I totally enjoy listening to him talk about his insights, experience and viewpoints. So refreshing to hear some of my own echoed as well. Listening to this interview, I had almost the same experience — better to see him of course!! Thank you for providing this.
While reading the book, I have the exerience the interviewer had…many amazing moments and sentences that were gems in and of themselves. I am reading it slowly, savoring it. Yes, the writing is beautiful and I am sending info out to my email list and friends about this work. Hopefully, we will be able to bring David to SC for a workshop in the near future.
It’s so good to know you’re out there David!!
    Many blessings,
    Shellie

South Carolina is on the list for potential stops for David’s 09 Spring/Summer tour…Charleston probably.

  7. Oh, perfect. Greenville is in the upstate, an hour from Asheville. Very beautiful and about a three hour drive from Charleston. Will see what we can coordinate!

  8. Hi David. It was a pleasure to meet and listen to you at NAMA. Your lecture was the highlight of NAMA for me since it combined all the elements that I was expecting at that conference; knowledge, application and compassion.
As a student of ayurveda, the doshas, gunas, dhatus, srotas and other ayurvedic concepts expanded in such broader and deeper dimensions as you were explaining what was happening today with the Earth’s body in those terms. Drawing that intimate similarity between the human body and the Earth’s and cosmic bodies made the Vedic and mystic concept of oneness so easily digestible.
In that lecture, as someone who is not choosing to be an ayurvedic practitioner in the medical sense, I was able to see the vast practical applications of ayurveda as a healing method, from the smallest personal choices to political stands.
Fortunately your lecture was taped and is available to be shared online.
I saw you as an awakened compassionate visionary who has a serious message to relay. More power to you and thank you.
    Fariba
