AUDIO: Prana, Chi, Jing & Ojas, Pt.1–Meeting the Life Force
Blog by Jai Dev Singh
Last Spring at the Southwest Conference on Botanical Medicine in Tempe, Arizona, David Crow gave a workshop entitled: Prana, Chi, Jing and Ojas: Concepts of Life Force in Eastern Thought.
The topic was presented to an audience of herbalists, naturopaths and medical students. I found it to be a deeply insightful experience that went well beyond what one might expect from this type of a lecture.
David did a beautiful job communicating the spiritual essence that roots the Ayurvedic and Chinese medical systems. Simultaneously he unveils the profound simplicity and healing implications of experiencing the principles behind these systems firsthand. Over the next couple of weeks I’ll be posting the entire recording of the presentation in a series of audio excerpts.
In the first audio excerpt below, David introduces the concept of Prana and Chi, the life force intelligence.
This first section is important as it sets the context for the rest of the lecture which we will post in the coming days.
As with all our audio blogs, you can download it to your computer, Ipod and/or burn it to CD via Itunes (search for Floracopeia in the Itunes search field).
Also, included below is the Sankhya Philosophy chart that David handed out which you may find useful to refer to while listening to this first section.
Enjoy.
