DoshaCare: Ayurvedic Skin Care Line with Floracopeia Oils!
DoshaCare is the newest Ayurvedic skincare line to hit the market and is produced exclusively with Floracopeia essential oils that were custom blended by David Crow.
We’ve been using the products here at Floracopeia and are really enjoying them. The folks at DoshaCare have done an excellent job crafting a skincare line that can be customized for each unique skin type according to Ayurvedic principles.
DoshaCare has seperated their line into the three main categories of Vata, Pitta and Kapha along with customized add-ons that allow you to further tailor your skincare routine to your unique skin type. If you don’t know which ‘body-type’ you fall under, there is a short quiz on the DoshaCare site that will point you in the right direction in determining your primary and secondary ‘dosha’. Wow Floracopeia!! Awesome!!
Is Dosha Care organic? Where can I get info on the ingredients?
The ingredient lists on the products don’t list the essential oils. Perhaps proprietary, eh? Well, whatever they are, I’m sure they are lovely!
Thank you for all your interest and questions.
On the DoshaCare website there is a complete ingredient list for each product.
DoshaCare skincare products are made of 98 percent natural and organic ingredients which come from socially and environmentally sustainable sources and meets fair trade and vegan standards. The packaging yields to the highest standards of environmental responsibility, with tubes made of 70 percent recycled materials, bottles made of 100 percent recyclable materials and labels printed with environmentally-conscious soy ink. Where we used boxes, DoshaCare uses recycled paper to construct the inner packaging and virgin paper sourced from managed forests for its outer packaging.
We have chosen not to pursue any of the certifications that exist in the market, or make claims on the packing of any percentage of “naturalness” other then using the terms “responsible and organic ingredients.” We choose to do this because we believe all of the current certifications are:
1) Ridiculously expensive and by this fact alone, an unfair barrier to entry for poor farmers is created and as a result are cheated out of their goods.
2) Every certification in the market today was created by a powerful marketing group (generally a product company) that has created their standards so their product appears to be clean/safe/natural. None of these certifications make it easier for consumers to make informed choices.
When we began developing DoshaCare, we wanted highly efficacious products, made with socially and environmentally responsible ingredients and packaging. The product is as free of synthetic ingredients as can allow for effectiveness, safety and esthetic appeal. There are no parabens, phthalates, artificial color or aroma. Eleven of our 17 products are self preserving and where preservatives are required we were able to use a very small amounts due to the antibacterial properties of our essential oil blends.
We list “essential oil blends” on all ingredient lists to describe the custom aroma of each product as this is proprietary. During our education we provide more in dept information about the elements of our EO formulas.
Thanks for the clarification Patty, and for going the extra mile that is necessary for high quality. My wife and I both have been using several of the products and really enjoying them. We especially like the exfoliant and the pitta face wash. I like the customization elixirs as well (I’ve tried the Pitta and Kapha). I want to try the ama releasing tonic and a moisturizer next.
Actually, I developed and taught the Ayurvedic Facial course at the California College of Ayurveda so I’ve seen a lot of the products out there. As far as an easy to use and Ayurvedic inspired facial care system, this line seems really nice.
Again, thanks for the good work.
I like your website, I was emailed the link, will bookmark you and visit again
