I was first introduced to flower essences over seventeen years ago. I still marvel at what happened during my first year of using them. With the help of the flowers, I was able to overcome some significant deep-seated and painful challenges I was experiencing at the time; it was then that I really took notice of how powerful flower essences can be. I still feel deep gratitude for this gift of grace and healing from the natural world.
Over the years, using flower essences both personally and clinically, I continue to be shown their profound benefits. Little did I know at the time of my first meeting the flower essences, that the flowers had something much bigger in mind for me than just my own personal healing. They somehow 'hired' me to be a spokesperson for their gifts.
Flower essences are sometimes confused with essential oils but they are quite different in nature. Flower essences are a bioenergetic imprint of a flower that has been transferred and stabilized in water. A flower essence is therefore the life force or the prana of the flower that has been captured and imprinted in water. Since flower essences are energetic in nature their benefits are not due to a direct bio-chemical interaction with the body but instead they work on our various energy pathways such as the acupuncture meridians to create health and well-being in body, mind and spirit.
I think of flower essences as a primary treatment for what Traditional Chinese Medicine calls Shen or Spirit, which contains aspects of emotional and mental health.
One of the many gifts of extensive
travel is that David and I get t he opportunity to converse with many healthcare practitioners around the globe. There seem s t o be an alarming increase in panic attacks, confusion, feelings of impending doom, uncertainty, anxiety and depression and extreme behavior. I have also personally witnessed these emerging toxic patterns.
Knowing that the flowers are profoundly intelligent and hold specific transformational information that can encourage emotional equilibrium and healthy mental states, they are a key tool in helping humanity navigate these rapidly shifting and often stressful times.
