Sunday, 9am - 5pm: A Contemplative Approach to Ayurvedic Wisdom
Using aromatherapy and a meditation-based approach to learning, we will explore the fundamental concepts of Ayurvedic medicine and philosophy as it is expressed in the moment-moment events within the body, senses and mind. Ayurveda is an ancient system of holistic healing, based on profound principles derived from contemplating humanity's relationship with nature. Floracopeia essential oils will be used to enhance meditative states and will be applied to understanding the importance of:
Abiding in the self
The nature of prana (life force) and its intelligence
The five universal elements and the physical ground of being
The seven tissue levels and their relationship to the sense of self
Life as evolution of light into consciousness
How prana flows in and out of the sense organs
