Jade Shutes: Grassroots Aromatherapy - The Power of Essential Oils for Self-Care

Education is key to self empowerment in making our own healthcare choices. As one of many tools for self-care, we will explore aromatherapy’s strengths in providing options for self-care. Essential oils are interesting and dynamic substances that seem to inspire self inquiry and enhance our relationship with the natural world and our own true nature. Essential oils have strong affinities with the respiratory, integumentary (skin), immune, musculoskeletal, nervous and digestive systems. Basic methods of application and safe/appropriate dosages along with specific remedies will be covered for each system.
