Healing the Home With Essential Oils

David Crow will teach the multiple benefits of essential oils and aromatic plants that are relevant to local families, such as using the oils in the home for protection against viral contagion and antibiotic resistant infections. In the garden, we will emphasize the aromatic plants that people can grow or harvest in our area, which can be used in whole form in baths, teas, and cooking. Well gather a small collection of some of those plants living in the area for demonstration purposes, and we will culminate the workshop by distilling one or two local plants into their essential oils. Specific remedies from the local aromatics, such as how to make essential oil throat sprays, anti-fungal applications, atmospheric purification for household mold will also be covered.

Explore the medicinal and spiritual uses of some of the most powerful, exotic and renowned incense plants. Alternating between in-depth teaching and ritual meditations, this olfactory feast will feature fragrant woods such as sandalwood, agarwood, cedar and juniper; purifying resins such as frankincense, myrrh, and copal; intoxicating flowers such as roses, jasmines and saffron; perfumed roots such as vetiver and jatamansi; and a rare selection of ancient temple incenses.
