The luscious aroma of night-blooming parijata flowers has a heavy, intense, and intoxicating sweetness, but not like jasmine or frangipani; it is more like sugar cane juice, barley malt, or a dark honey. At the same time it is subtle and almost elusive, balanced with the soft notes of the sandalwood base.

More About Parijata Attar
Parijata is among the most beautiful and sacred of Indias many exotic flowering trees and is planted in and around the grounds of temples and ashrams. The parijata flowers resemble miniature mandalas, with pure white petals unfolding from a bright orange center. This image was seen by the ancient sages of India as symbolic of agni, the purifying flame of awareness, burning away the obscurations of the mind to reveal the petals of purified consciousness.
